THE LABORS AND FRUITS OF MSSPP DESPITE ODDS AND CHALLENGES
Year 2010: Birth of MSSPP, April 12, 2010 and, in August 26, 2010, MSSPP was granted and issued CERTIFICATE OF INCORPORATION by the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippine Government with SEC REGISTRATION No. CN201013717 issued at Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, Philippines;
- From Year 2010 to 2017: MSSPP’s YEARS OF GREAT SILENCE, YEARS OF ITS FOUNDING during which the drafting and crafting of its MATTER AND FORM gradually took place and given shape, that is, its spirit and charism; drafted rule of life, constitution, its canons and the like;
- In February 23, 2014, MSSPP was blessed with SACRED OFFICE OF EPISCOPACY with the Episcopal Consecration of His Grace, Bishop Celestino A. Gianan, DD, PhD in Australia which renders this Clerical Society of Apostolic Life POWER OF CHURCH GOVERNANCE AND CHURCH ADMINISTRATION, this mean, MSSPP is of EPISCOPAL RIGHT as a clerical society of Apostolic Life and as a Catholic congregation of believers;
- In Year 2018, MSSPP took a “LEAP OF FAITH” and launched its “MISSIO DEI, VISIO ECCLESIAE” in January, Epiphany Sunday, in Novaliches, Quezon City by its pioneering missionary clergy, Fr. Narciso F. Labra, Fr. Ariel H. Lopez and Bishop Celestino Gianan and started its missionary journey in KABALIKAT, Don Enrique Heights, Brgy. San Roque, Antipolo City, Province of Rizal;
- In August 15, 2022, Feast of the Assumption, MSSPP was granted and issued a DECREE OF INCARDINATION AND FULL COMMUNION by His Grace, Archbishop Ivan Castaneda, DD, Primate of the West Region and Metropolitan Archbishop of the North American Old Roman Catholic Church UTRECHT SUCCESSION ARCHDIOCESE OF CALIFORNIA, issued at the Jesus, El Buen Pastor, Old Roman Catholic Church, San Bruno, California, USA;
- By this Decree of INCARDINATION and FULL COMMUNION, MSSPP is marked with the spirit and charism of the OLD ROMAN CATHOLICISM, thus, acquires the character of and shares the patrimony of the Old Roman Catholic Church under and within the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the North American Old Roman Catholic Church UTRECHT SUCCESSION ARCHDIOCESE OF CALIFORNIA;
- In October 9, 2023 Anno Domini, the three Bishops of MSSPP, namely, His Grace, Bishop Ariel H. Lopez, DD, MA, His Grace, Bishop Joselito A. Sarigumba, DD, MA, and His Grace, Bishop Celestino A. Gianan, DD, PhD, were conferred and passed on the Line of Apostolic UTRECHT SUCCESSION with the Apostolic Mandate decreed by the Primate of the West Region and Metropolitan Archbishop, His Grace, Archbishop Ivan Castaneda, DD. With this Apostolic Mandate, His Grace, Bishop Jose Madanguit, DD was authorized and commissioned to solemnly officiate the CONSECRATIO SUB CONDITIONE during the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at the House of Prayer of the Apostolic Vicariate of St. Padre PIO de Pietrelcina in Imus, Province of Cavite;
- As a consequence of faithful and thoughtful Church GOVERNANCE and Church ADMINISTRATION, MSSPP has formed its CENTRAL GOVERNING BODY sectioned into, namely, the ORDO EPISCOPORUM composite of the MSSPP Bishops that now serves as the DECISION-MAKING BODY and the ORDO CONSULTORUM composite of the MSSPP Honorary Prelates that serves as its CONSULTATIVE BODY;
- On the mandate of MSSPP CENTRAL GOVERNING BODY, creation of Apostolic Vicariates were accomplished within which are seen the existence and operations of Parishes, RECTORATES and Basic ECCLESIAL Communities and portions of People of God being ministered to. Currently, MSSPP has three Apostolic Vicariates here in the Philippines, namely, the Apostolic Vicariate of the Holy Trinity, Province of Rizal, the Apostolic Vicariate of San Jose, National Capital Region with extended mission in Bulacan and in Bicol; MSSPP has mission Churches in the Kingdom of Bahrain and Vietnam;
- In June 2023 Anno Domini, MSSPP has finally found a place for the establishment of its DOMINUS IESUS SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY (DIST), SEC Registered with Registration No. 2023030091579-00, issued 20th of March 2023, situated at:
Dominus Iesus School of Theology / Generalate – MSSPP NAORCC AoC
Blk 67 Lot 5 & 7, Stockton Street, Phase 3, Metropolis Greens, Manggahan, Gen. Trias, Cavite.
- In June 29, 2023 Anno Domini, Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul, the DOMINUS IESUS SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY was granted and issued the DECREE OF PERMIT TO OPERATE DIST ECCLESIASTICAL DEGREE PROGRAM by His Grace, Archbishop Ivan Castaneda, DD, the Metropolitan Archbishop, NAORCC UTRECHT SUCCESSION ARCHDIOCESE OF CALIFORNIA noted by His Grace, Bishop Rey Maglente, DD, Chancellor, NAORCC UTRECHT SUCCESSION ARCHDIOCESE OF CALIFORNIA.
- Currently, MSSPP has been blessed by God with 3 Bishops, 14 priests and 3 deacons.
- In July 1, 2023 Anno Domini, the MSSPP CONSTITUTION was ratified and promulgated in the presence of MSSPP Bishops, priests and deacons during the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass presided over by the Presiding Bishop, His Grace, Bishop Celes A. Gianan, DD, PhD at the Chapel of the DOMINUS IESUS School of Theology.
- All these labors and fruits of the Missionary Society of Sts. Peter and Paul will be given celebration on the pastoral visit of His Grace, Archbishop Ivan Castaneda to the Philippines to date July 20 – 26, 2023 Anno Domini.
May our great God continue to increase our Faith in Him, help us edify our Church governance and Church administration, strengthen our Zeal for Church mission and continue to guide and lead us in the direction He has set for us for His honor and glory. Amen.
